Description
Bunka Petty in Damascus steel, 13.5 cm blade. The small knife is the Japanese equivalent of a small utility knife. It is ideal for small and detailed cutting tasks where a full-size chef's knife would be too cumbersome.

The Damascus Steel Bunka Petty blade is forged from AUS-10 steel, a superior quality steel that combines a high carbon content for edge hardness and longevity with the optimal amount of chromium to prevent oxidation.

Bunka (文化) means "culture" in Japanese. The name derives from its traditional use in preparing cultural cuisine in Japanese homes.

Like the common Petty knife, the Bunka Petty has a medium-sized blade with a flat profile; however, the tips of their blades have a very different shape. Bunka knives are recognizable by their "inverted Tanto" profile, also called a "K-tip," which makes them more precise than a classic rounded blade.

Japanese precision, Western robustness.
The best of both worlds.
